| | Introducing Word of Life Home Fellowship When you walk into Pastor and Candy's home at service time what you should see are people who really know one another. People who are daily spending their lives together, helping each other in every way they possibly can. They are in one anothers lives. When they say "brothers and sisters"...they are not kidding. That is no term--that is a living reality. These families, with all their problems in interpersonal relationships, are at the same time loving one another. And that love is very easy to see because of its very intensity. This is what church is really about. Not a bunch of people who all silently sit in a lecture hall, following a 400 hundred-year old tradition, all facing the same direction, bored-to-tears, with glazed eyes which seem to scream inside; "Can someone please help me?" Word of Life is beginning a new chapter in her vision to reach the city of Boise. It's an old vision though. It started on the day of Pentecost almost 2000 years ago. But somehow our Father's church has lost her vision along the way. It should utilize one person at a time. Caring, sharing, and interacting. The church should never be about buildings, programs, clergy, or even doctrine. The true church doesn't need any of that...you see, "God wanted everyone, not just Jews, to know this rich and glorious secret inside and out, regardless of their background, regardless of their religious standing. The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you, therefore you can look forward to sharing in God's glory. It's that simple. That is the substance of our Message." Colossians 1:27 (MSG) We warmly encourage you to come and be apart of our family at Word of Life Home Fellowship. |
